Amazon needed to expand their office capacity in Barcelona. To fulfill this requirement, they secured a lease for a standalone building in the @22 District, a thriving hub of technology and innovation companies in the city center. Perkins and Wil was entrusted with the design of the offices, studioMADD's team were selected for the technical design and on-site delivery stages, and to act as the local Architect of Record.

Each floor showcases a unique aspect of life in the city, with accent colors inspired by its vibrant landscape. The result is a space that is both dynamic and user-friendly.
Connecting the staff café on the ground floor with the meeting and training facilities is a double-height atrium, creating a seamless flow. The building's terrace on level 05 has been transformed into a leisure and relaxation area, providing a much-needed retreat. Across seven carefully planned floors, the layout accommodates 950 workstations, reflective work areas, collaborative spaces, as well as spaces for unwinding and reconnecting.
Uniting all the spaces are large murals by artist Antonio Mares. From the grand mural in the ground floor atriums to the intricate manifestations in the cellular spaces, and even an outdoor installation, these pieces bring the vibrant street art of Barcelona into the heart of these offices.
